Care Instructions
If well looked after your jewellery will continue to look beautiful for years to come. Following these guidelines can help to ensure this. Sterling silver will tarnish with time and wear. This can be accelerated by several factors including the natural acidity of the wearers skin, perfume and cosmetic products, chlorine or a humid environment. Precious metals are still vulnerable to scratches. To help reduce this, jewellery should be removed when doing manual work.
All of my jewellery can be carefully cleaned with a soft dry cloth. Stubborn build-up can be removed by a professional jeweller or, alternatively, jewellery can be returned to me to be cleaned and refinished on request. This may incur a small charge.
There are many silver cleaning products available. If your jewellery is very tarnished then I recommend using Goddards Silver Foam Polish. Otherwise a small amount of washing up liquid in some warm water and a soft toothbrush is an excellent way to clean your silver jewellery.
